Benahavis Feria
Feria is latin for “free day”, the days of feria were considered as a day off work and most importantly for the slaves. The holiday goes back to roman times. “The feria” is every year normally between the 11th and 15th of August (depending on weekends…). You will find a very party-like village. The celebration of the “Virgin del Rosario” is always on the 15th of August and gives the feria a religious meaning as well.
